The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Association of Japanese Animations operate the Anime Tokyo Station, a center for the exhibition of Japanese animation, which attracts many visitors from Japan and abroad as a facility that communicates the appeal of Japanese animation to the world under the motto, "Making ANIME more interesting, Bringing ANIME far into the future"
On Tuesday, November 4, “Anime Tokyo Station's Autumn Festival” was held as a public recording event for the official YouTube channel of Anime Tokyo Station. About 50 guests were selected by lottery to attend and enjoy the event.
The event was hosted by voice actress Miina Tominaga, with guests Kaori Nazuka and Tomohiro Yamaguchi. To commemorate the 2nd anniversary of Anime Tokyo Station, Ms. Tominaga and Ms. Nazuka were dressed in kimonos, while Mr. Yamaguchi wore a white tuxedo for the first time in his life.
In the talk corner that followed, "My favorite anime talk" was held in honor of Anime Tokyo Station. The topic was "anime that inspired me to pursue a career as a voice actor. Ms. Nazuka answered, "Ojarumaru," which was also her debut work and a childhood favorite. I performed in a musical when I was in the first year of junior high school, and I had the opportunity to perform with Ayaka Saito(who was in "Ojarumaru" at the time). The director of "Ojarumaru," Akitaro Daichi, came to see my performance and scouted me as a voice actor. I was shocked at how bad I was at my first performance (laughs). Mr. Yamaguchi responded with "Utawarerumono," "My Bride Is a Mermaid" "Mobile Suit Gundam," and "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. When he watched late-night anime again as an adult, "I was shocked at how interesting it was," he said. He was so absorbed in "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion," in which Mr. Nazuka also appears, that he left his part-time job early to watch the anime. It is no exaggeration to say that I am doing this job today because of you and Ms. Meena. The audience laughed as he said, "It's no exaggeration to say that I am doing this job now because of you and Ms. Nazuka.
After the talk, legendary voice actress Masako Nozawa sent a congratulatory message to celebrate Anime Tokyo Station's second anniversary. Ms. Tominaga said, “Ms. Nozawa said to me, ”You’re doing great, Tokyo Metropolitan Government! Keep up the good work, The Association of Japanese Animations! I'll be cheering for you so I can say that next year!" We are cheered up every year by his support! It always gives us power. she commented.
During the photo session for the press, Maruko from "Chibi Maruko-chan" made a surprise appearance. Maruko posed for the camera in a variety of poses, and the audience cheered with shouts of "Cute!
In the second half of the event, Ms. Tominaga, Ms. Nazuka, and Mr. Yamaguchi performed “When the Clouds Break,” the third work in the “One Stormy Night” series, which was a hit at the "Tanabata Festival at Anime Tokyo Station," with live percussion, original background music, and sound effects. The audience gathered in the hall for a live performance of "When the Clouds Break" the third play from the "One Stormy Night" series, with live percussion, original background music, and sound effects. The audience quietly listened to the unique reading performance, and applauded loudly afterwards.
After the reading, Yuichi Kimura, author of the "One Stormy Night" series, appeared on stage for a talk session. Mr. Kimura said, "It was wonderful. Of the seven volumes, this volume is the most modest. But it was so interesting and funny that it made me re-evaluate the work." Mr. Kimura commented on his impression of the series. The three were nervous about performing the reading in front of the author and said, "I was nervous because the teacher was right in front of me. Thank you very much. They were relieved to hear this.
